A History of Arnot Hill Park, Bob Massey, Arnold Library

On Thursday 20th June at Arnold Library join local historian Bob Massey to hear about the origins and history of Arnot Hill Park in Arnold. Built in the early 19th century, the site was originally a worsted mill and employed over 1,200 people at its height.  It was turned into a public park in 1919 and celebrates its 100th anniversary as a public park this July.

£2 a ticket, payable on the day, no need to book in advance.

Free transport to and from the library is available for this event to help people with restricted mobility attend.  Call Easylink direct on 0115 969 1801 to arrange your lift.
