Former Foundry Man, Tim Castledine will conduct a viewing of the former Butterley Company site and at 4pm Tim will be giving an illustrated talk on “The Great Wall of Butterley” at the Barnes Wallis Pub, Maple Avenue,Ripley, DE5 3PY. The talk is about the early furnaces and other remaining industrial historical buildings at the back of the Butterley site.
To round the event off, pie, peas and chips will be served at the Barnes Wallis whilst you watch some digitalized archive footage of the Butterley Company.
