At Mapperley Plains Social Club, Plains Road, Nottingham, NG3 5RH on Wednesday 24th April 2019, 2-4pm, there will be an afternoon of talks and discussions with historians Norma Gregory and Natalie Thomlinson.

FREE, refreshments provided, all welcome.

Do you have memories of life in the Nottinghamshire coalfield? Maybe you were married to a miner? Maybe your dad was a miner? Maybe you worked in the industry itself?

Whether or not you do or don’t, come along for an informal afternoon at Mapperley Plains Social Club.

Find out about research from historians Norma Gregory and Natalie Thomlinson into the experiences of women and men in Nottinghamshire’s coalfields.

Share your stories and photographs of life in the coalfield.
