The next meeting of the East Midlands Coal Mining Heritage Forum (EMCHF) is on Saturday, 27th October 2018, 11am – 3pm, at the Papplewick Pumping Station in Nottinghamshire.

In addition to the main water pumping station, the site houses the preserved Linby Colliery Steam Winding Engine along with a local coal mining exhibition.

Provisional Timetable

  • 10.30am –  11.00am       Meet at Papplewick Pumping Station.  Parking available inside the  grounds.
  • 11.00am – 12.30pm       4thmeeting of the East Midlands Coal Mining Heritage Forum.
  • 12.30pm – 1.15pm         Tea / Coffee and light refreshments on site.
  • 1.15pm – 3.00pm           Visit around the Papplewick Pumping Station including the former Linby Colliery winding engine and the Coal Mining Exhibition
  • 3.00pm                         Finish of event
