Event Navigation

Staa logoOn Saturday 10th September 2016 between 11:00am and 4:00pm there will be a FREE event at St Anns Allotments to celebrate Heritage Open Day.

The themed day will explore our past, present and future – What will people in the future look back and think of us?!

Visitors will be given a chance to explore the diverse growing community as some of our gardeners open up their plots for the day, alongside our captivating heritage display garden and enchanting wildlife areas. There will also be a range of family friendly activities, including a craft session to make a structure to signpost our time capsule, and a display of ‘crazy veg and futuristic fruit’!

We are also holding a programme of short talks, discussing the past, present and future of gardening, wildlife and technology, with guest speakers from the University of Nottingham, Ecoworks and our own Wildlife Rangers.

Of course, there will also be refreshments available at our Cafe, and our ever popular guided tours at regular intervals through the day, available for a small donation.
