
On Thursday July 4th 2019 at 7:00pm at Retford Library Harry Foxley will give a talk on “Industrial Retford”. Having been a market town for six centuries, Retford embraced the industrial revolution in the 19th century with a plethora of manufactories to include iron & brass foundries; engineering works; brick & tile works; coachworks; rubber works; rope works; sack-cloth & sail-making and a host of supporting industry.
