At 10am, Thursday 3rd May 2018 local historian, Mo Cooper, will take you on a new walk that explores the lives of women and men who lived in Sherwood, “Altogether the most elegant suburb in the neighbourhood of Nottingham.”
Learn about the famous, the infamous, the industrious, the leisured classes – and the fascinating architecture of Sherwood. This 90 minute walk will leave from the front of the old Metropole Cinema, 686-690 Mansfield Road, NG5 2GE (or the old Kwiksave, Co-op, Budgens, soon to be ‘The Gym’) and finish at Sherwood Community Centre, where you can grab a drink or lunch at Christine’s Community Café.
£3 per person, children free. To book on the walk email firstname.lastname@example.org ring 07950472022 If you’d like to have lunch phone Christine on 07760337575 to book.
