History Festival 2017, Grand Tourists

On Friday 7th April 2017 between 12.30 – 1.30 at Manuscripts and Special Collections, King’s Meadow Campus, The University Of Nottingham. Dr Ross Balzaretti, Head of the Department of History at The University Of Nottingham, will explore the Europeans travels of people from the East Midlands in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The emphasis will be on the rich material housed by the University’s Manuscripts and Special Collections, including letters, diaries and guidebooks. Participants are encouraged to share their own stories of travel.
