On Saturday 21 May 2016, between 2:30PM – 4:30PM, at the Ken Edwards Lecture Theatre 2 on the campus of the University of Leicester Professor Charles Watkins of the School of Geography at the University of Nottingham, will present a talk on the subject of “Trees and Topography: Depictions of Individual Trees in the 18th and 19th Centuries“. The annual Hoskins Day lecture is put on by the Friends of the Centre for English Local History (a registered charity), and is on a subject related to landscape history. After the lecture, the audience are invited to the Centre for English Local History on Salisbury Road for tea and biscuits, and a second-hand book sale.
