Library Talk

On Tuesday 11 June, 10.30am – 11.30am at Basford Library. Once famed for the quality of its ale from brewers such as Home Brewery at Daybrook and Shipstones in Basford, local historian  Brian Howes talks about the history of the old inns and beer houses of Nottingham. Learn about some interesting old pubs that have been lost in time and the fascinating histories of some of those still open. Hear how the Beerhouse Act of 1830 created a fascinating network of bohemian drinking establishments all over the city and its suburbs.

£2 a ticket – pay on the day with no need to book in advance.
