An Information Technology (IT) Workshop will be held at Nottingham Trent University’s Clifton Campus on Tuesday, 11th June 2019 from 10.30am to 3pm as part of the East Midlands Coal-mining Heritage Forum initiative.
The subject for IT Workshop will be ‘Promoting your Coal-mining Heritage using Social Media’ and will include:
- Media Planning: A look at tools for capturing ideas and developing themes for the ‘Big Idea’.
- Media Capture & Formats: A look at Mobile Apps that have made cameras redundant – ‘Honey I forgot the Camcorder’!
- Making Connections: Understanding the different characteristics of the various social media platforms – ‘Mind your Language’!
- Lost and Found: Making content visible and accessible – ‘The Magic of Metadata!’

The training session will be in two parts from 10.30am – 12.30pm and then from 1pm – 3pm. Registration will be from 10.15am. Free hot / cold drinks and light refreshments will be provided as part of the days event with a buffet break from 12.30pm – 1pm
