Wymeswold orchard at the top of the Washdyke has some unusual varieties of apples. If you’ve ever looked at the labels on the trees and wondered how these strange names came about then the next talk for the Wolds Historical Organisation will reveal all – and more! Mel Wilson, co-founder of the Leicestershire Heritage Apple Project, will be the speaker on Tuesday 20th February. The usual time 7.45 prompt but now in the Jubilee Room of Wymeswold Memorial Hall. As always non-members most welcome but will be asked to contribute £3.00.
