The WHOs next meeting is on Tuesday 15th May when Richard Jones will be telling us about Living with water: past, present and future. Dr Jones is Associate Professor of Landscape History at the Centre for English Local History in the University of Leicester. His research looks at changing relationships between people and the land from about 400 to 1500 AD. The significant change in water levels during that period may help us plan for changes expected in the next few decades.
The meeting will start at 7.45 prompt in the Jubilee Room of the Memorial Hall, Clay Street, Wymeswold, LE12 6TY. Non-members most welcome but will be asked to contribute £3.00. There is a lift to the Jubilee Room if visitors have difficulty with stairs.
