This year sees the eight hundredth anniversary of the Magna Carta, a development of national importance and local consequences – our talks include this subject as well as other mediaeval aspects of Nottinghamshire.
About the Speakers
Dr Claire Taylor is an Associate Professor of Mediaeval History at the University of Nottingham.
Dr David Crook is an experienced local historian, formerly of the National Archives.
Prof. Michael Jones is Emeritus Professor of French Mediaeval History at Nottingham University and Chairman of the Norwell Parish Heritage Group.
Dr David Marcombe is the former director of the Centre for Local History at Nottingham University, and currently a trustee of the Spital Chantry Trust.
