On Wednesday March 11th 2020 at 7:30 pm in the Methodist Church Schoolroom, Sutton Bonington.

For over 200 years, from the late Anglo-Saxon period through to the end of the Normans, over seventy towns in England were permitted to strike coins in the King’s name, two of these towns being Nottingham and Derby. This talk gives an illustrated outline of the history of minting coins in both Nottingham and Derby and the moneyers responsible for overseeing the output.
