NGS logoOn Thursday 11th August 2016 in the  Exhibition Area, Local Studies Library, 1st Floor Central Library, Nottingham starting at 2pm Dr Jonathan Coope will describe the impact of two world wars on Nottingham’s parks. From fundraising band concerts to ‘Holidays at Home’, this talk explores the social life of Nottingham’s green spaces during WWI and WWII

This talk is part of a series of presentations and events taking place in conjunction with the exhibition Nottingham’s Historic Green Spaces which is running from 9:00am on Wednesday 3rd August to 5:00pm on Wednesday 31st August in the Local Studies Library.
