The next perambulation of the ancient boundary of Sherwood Forest will be on Thursday 29th March 2018, starting at the Magna Charta pub, Lowdham at 11.30am. See https://www.eating-inn.co.uk/house/magna-charta-nottingham Please arrive 11.15am for registration; bring packed lunch if need be or money for lunch out. I’m quite partial to chocolate, so be careful with yours…
From there, we’ll have a quick visit to the local bookshop and make our way the 2.5 miles to Burton Joyce. Most of it is pavement, but not all. There is a tea/coffee van we can stop at and, if you’re into geo-caching, I remember there’s one nearby. We’ll complete our walk at the Co-op store in Burton Joyce. https://finder.coop.co.uk/food/store/NG14-5DZ/36-main-street
Once you’ve decided if you’re coming along, let me know as soon as you do; there are several options once we’re there; one of them is an easy going writing workshop run by myself. Burton Joyce is a great area to explore too; see http://www.bjblhs.org.uk/
Please also see http://www.sherwoodforestonyourdoorstep.org/ for the main project.
Looking forward to walking with you
