On Sunday 15th October 2017 between 11:00m to 4:00pm Join us at St Anns Allotments to celebrate all things apple!
St Anns Allotments has a rich history of fruit trees. We estimate there are 2,000 fruit trees in gardens around the site including 120 varieties of apple and 50 varieties of pear, with most thought to pre-date the Second World War and many much older still.
This open day we will have apple tasting, apple pressing and fresh juice, guided walks of the site, plus kids appley activities at the Community Orchard.
The Community Orchard will be open for children’s activities.
Plants and produce for sale.
Refreshments such as hot soup and cakes plus teas and coffees will be available in the visitor centre.
Please note: There is no parking on site – please park safely on Ransom Road or help to reduce traffic by walking, cycling or using public transport.
