Cyril Pearce: Conscientious Objection in Nottingham during the Great War
Four of the country’s most respected Great War academics visit Nottingham to deliver lectures on their areas of expertise. This monthly series, delivered to the public at Nottingham University, covers four of the most fascinating and controversial aspects of the war: conscientious objectors, military executions, women who served on the front line and recent advances in battlefield archaeology. All four speakers are guaranteed to deliver lectures that will be engaging and educational, covering topics of national and international importance with a Nottinghamshire slant.
Tickets £4 in advance, £5 on the door (subject to availability). Tickets on sale via the Theatre Royal Box Office, telephone 0115 989 5555.
Lectures will take place in the Keighton Auditorium, University of Nottingham main campus (No. 56 on university map)
