On Sunday 11 September, 12 – 3.30pm at Worksop Library there will be a Heritage Open Day with local history displays, old Worksop photographs, free children’s activities, book stalls, and much more! A great free event for all the family. Just drop in.
Explore the rich and varied history of Worksop and district at this great FREE event for all the family. Meet stall holders from local historical societies, the Chesterfield Canal Trust, Bassetlaw Museum, Creswell Crags, Mr Straw’s House and many more. There will be local history displays, old photographs and family history information. Ex-library local history books will be on sale and there will be free children’s activities including colouring and a prize quiz. The Imperial War Museum’s 1916 Battle of the Somme film will be showing throughout the day in the library’s Conference Suite (drop-in)
All activities are free and no booking is required.
Library opening hours on Sunday are 12 – 4pm and there is FREE parking in the car park behind the library. The café in the library will be open for tea, coffee and cakes.
